JEE Main 2027: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the application process for the Joint Entrance Test (JEE) Main 2027 Session 1. Interested and eligible candidates can apply till 11.59 PM on 22nd November. NTA has issued a bulletin regarding the application process. As per the bulletin issued, the rules for selecting the exam city in JEE Main 2027 have been changed. Now candidates will not be able to select the city of their choice for the exam. The bulletin has clarified that the admit card can be downloaded from January 11, 2027.

Now you can select exam city based on permanent address or current address.

The NTA has changed the rules for selecting the exam city in JEE 2027, under which candidates applying for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be able to choose the state of their permanent or current address for the exam city. There are 4 options to select the exam city. Candidates have to select 4 cities for examination based on their permanent or current address. According to the rules, candidates residing abroad or foreigners have to select the city of examination based on their permanent and current address. At the same time, NTA has clarified that the candidates with foreign address have to choose Indian exam city option from the 4 exam city options.

There is an option to select another city if the state has less examination cities.

The NTA has clarified that if there is no sufficient city of examination in the state of permanent or present address of the candidates, in such a situation the candidates may be given the option of choosing another city to select the city of examination based on administrative convenience. NTA has advised the candidates to check the exam city name and its code carefully before finalizing the application, so that there is no chance of any mistake.

So NTA exam can merge city

NTA can also merge exam centres. NTA has said that if the number of candidates in any city or center is very less, such cities or exam centers can be merged with other cities or exam centers. The NTA has clarified that it will make all efforts to allot the candidates an examination city of their choice, but due to administrative or logistical reasons, the examination city may be allotted to other cities.

Admit card can be downloaded from January 13

The admit card for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 can be downloaded from January 13. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of NTA jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA has asked the candidates to keep four hard copies i.e. printout of the admit card safe with them. This will be needed when needed. Admission to the examination center will be through Admit Card only.
