Monster Hunter Outlanders officially launched on October 29, 2026, bringing Capcom’s popular monster-hunting franchise to mobile devices with new creatures, original characters, cooperative gameplay and touch-optimized controls. Developed by TiMi Studio Group, the survival action game is available for iOS and Android, according to the launch announcement.
The release introduces a new adventure on Aesoland, an island filled with dangerous monsters and unexplored environments. Players can hunt alone or join friends in teams of up to four as they take on powerful creatures and explore the game’s world.
Monster Hunter Outlanders Introduces New Monsters and Weapons
The mobile game features original creatures alongside familiar elements from the franchise. One of its major additions is Ruger Aidal, an Elder Dragon described as shining like the sun. Players will also encounter Radiant Species, monsters that have mutated because of Aesoland’s environment.
The launch version includes eight weapon types: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Charge Blade, Heavy Bowgun and Bow. Each weapon offers a different combat style, allowing players to choose their preferred approach to hunting.
The Charge Blade is available from the start of the official service. It switches between Sword Mode and Axe Mode, giving hunters options for balancing defense and powerful attacks. Additional weapon variations are planned for future updates.
Four-Player Co-Op and New Adventure Companions
Cooperative hunting is a central feature of the game. Players can explore the environment on their own or form parties of up to four hunters to take on challenging monsters together.
The game also introduces two new companions, Rutaco and Trillan, alongside the familiar Palico. These Buddies support players during their adventures and add another layer to the mobile hunting experience.
The developers have designed the controls specifically for smartphones, aiming to make the action accessible without removing the combat depth associated with the series. Controller input is also supported for selected activities, including hunts, quests and field exploration.
Monster Hunter Outlanders Launch Events and Rewards
The launch brings several limited-time activities for players. The Rhythm of Maple hunting challenge features Midori, a Long Sword-wielding Adventurer, while the Autumn Refrain special recruitment event gives players an opportunity to recruit her.
Completing event challenges can earn players exclusive titles, Rutacoins and other rewards. The launch-season announcement also highlights the opportunity to earn recruitment tickets worth more than 400 pulls throughout the season.
The Adventurer’s Guild Campaign runs through November 30, 2026. Players can invite friends to create guilds and increase their Adventurer Levels together. If guilds across all servers reach the announced combined-level milestone, eligible players will receive exclusive titles and stickers.
Monster Hunter Outlanders System Requirements and Platforms
The game is available on iOS and Android devices. The published specifications list Android 12.0 or later as a supported operating system and recommend smartphones or tablets with at least 6 GB of RAM.
The game is free to play and includes in-app purchases, according to Capcom’s release announcement. Players should check the Apple App Store or Google Play for availability in their region and confirm device compatibility before installing.
Capcom has positioned the release as an opportunity to bring its long-running hunting franchise to a wider mobile audience. With cooperative hunts, original monsters and continuing events, the launch establishes a new mobile entry point for longtime fans and first-time players alike.
