The Redmi Turbo 5 series smartphones were launched in China in January this year. Now discussions have started regarding the next generation turbo series of the company. Some information regarding the battery, processor and display of the upcoming Redmi Turbo 6 Max has surfaced online. According to the leak, the phone could have a battery with a capacity of over 10,000mAh. If this happens, this could be an interesting option for users who prefer smartphones with larger batteries.
However, the company has not yet given any official information about the features or launch date of this phone. Currently, the disclosed details should only be seen as leaks.
Dimensity 9500s chipset
According to a tipster digital chat station, the Redmi Turbo 6 Max could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. This chipset can help the phone to perform faster. However, the actual performance of the phone can be estimated only after its launch and testing.
Talking about the display, it is expected to have a large screen of around 7 inches. In response to a user’s question, the tipster pointed to a 7-inch display instead of 6.9 inches. Earlier reports also mentioned a flat OLED panel with 2K resolution. The combination of large screen and high resolution can be useful for watching videos, playing games and other tasks.
Large battery over 10,000mAh and fast charging
The biggest attraction of this phone might be its battery potential. According to the leak, the Redmi Turbo 6 Max could be powered by a battery with a capacity of over 10,000mAh. Having such a large battery can reduce the need to charge the phone frequently, although the actual battery backup will depend on usage and software optimization.
Good news has also come out regarding charging. Reports suggest the possibility of 100W or faster charging support. But the charging speed and exact capacity of the battery is yet to be confirmed.
Special features can also be found in the camera and build quality.
According to the leaked reports, the phone may feature a metal middle frame. Apart from this, it is also said to have IP68 and IP69 ratings, which relate to protection against dust and water. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor can also be found in it.
The two cameras on the rear panel are expected to be offered in a horizontal design. This may include a 50MP main camera. Currently, the details of the second camera and front camera are not revealed.
Entry can be made in the name of POCO in India
The Redmi Turbo 6 series may include the standard Turbo 6 and Turbo 6 Max models. If the company repeats its earlier launch schedule, the series could be launched in China in January 2027.
The possibility of the Redmi Turbo 6 Max being directly launched in India with this name is considered to be low. Earlier Redmi Turbo 5 Max was launched in India as POCO X8 Pro Max. In such a case the new model may also come under the POCO brand. However, there is no official confirmation about the phone’s Indian launch and name yet.
