WhatsApp is going to make group chat easier for its users. The company has announced four new features and changes. With their help even new members can easily understand the conversation already going on in the group. At the same time, it will be easier for older users to find important messages. Recently, WhatsApp introduced the Guest Calls feature, through which even people without an account can be included in the call.

Now you can pin messages permanently

In the new WhatsApp update, users will get the option to permanently pin important messages in group chats. Currently, a message can only be pinned for 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. There is also a facility to pin a maximum of four messages in a group. After the new feature, users will be able to keep messages pinned without any time limit.

New members will see old conversations

Many times, after adding a new member to a group, he faces difficulty in understanding the previous conversation. Keeping this in mind, WhatsApp is now providing a feature to share messages from old chats when a new member joins the group. A group admin or manager can send recent messages by tapping on a newly added member’s name. According to the company, these messages will also be end-to-end encrypted. With the help of this chat history can be sent even to those people who did not get this information initially.

Messages will be easier to find with mention

Now users can view their specified messages separately in group chat. For this you have to use mention filter. By selecting this, messages in which the user has been tagged will appear.

You can also share status in group

WhatsApp is now also giving an option to share status with group members separately. This status will only be visible to a select group of people and will automatically disappear after 24 hours. Group members will be able to react to this and share their status as well.
