Under the new system of Patwari recruitment rules, selected candidates will be given three months of training. Appointed candidates will be imparted training in surveying and mapping along with computers by the department.
Now along with direct recruitment, Patwari posts can also be filled on deputation. Officers working on similar posts in Central and State or Union Territory Governments on deputation will be eligible for this. Age relaxation has also been given to departmental candidates in the new rules, under which the maximum age limit has been increased from 27 to 40 years.
