Maruti Suzuki has launched a special Aurum edition of its SUV Victoris to mark one year in the market. In this edition, several cosmetic changes have been made to make the appearance of the vehicle different from the previous one. The company has priced it at ₹22,990. This is an accessory kit, which will be offered with the Strong Hybrid variant.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris ex-showroom price starts at ₹10.50 lakh and goes up to ₹19.99 lakh. Instead of major changes related to engine or performance, the Aurum edition brings some additions to the exterior and cabin of the SUV. This gives a different styling option to customers who want to give their Victoris something special.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris Aurum Edition

The most special thing about the Victoris Aurum Edition is the new cosmetic elements given in its exterior. Copper colored inserts are provided on the front, side and rear skid plates of the SUV. A matching color finish is also available on the wheel arches, which gives the vehicle a distinct identity from the regular model. Apart from this, many parts of the SUV have been fitted with chrome accessories. It includes the front grille, fenders, bumpers, body side moldings and door visors. The purpose of these changes is to make the appearance of the vehicle more attractive.

Some additional accessories are also provided for the cabin and boot space. These include all-weather 3D cabin mats, 3D boot mats and rear trunk sill guards. These items can help protect the vehicle’s floor and boot area from dirt and scratches during daily use. The name Aurum comes from the Latin word, meaning gold. The company chose this name considering the good sales performance of Victoris in its first year.

There is no change in engine and performance

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris Auram Edition is based on the strong hybrid variant of the SUV. It uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. Its hybrid system comes with an EV mode, in which the vehicle can also run on electric power as needed.

The combined output of this powertrain is around 116 hp and the maximum torque is 122 Nm. The power from the engine and electric motor reaches the wheels through an e-CVT gearbox. The Victoris is also available with petrol and CNG powertrain options, though the Aurum Edition is based on the Strong Hybrid variant.

Shahid Kapoor became the face of Auram Edition

The company has chosen Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor to promote this special edition. According to Maruti Suzuki, their style, energy and association with premium lifestyle matches the image of Victoris that the company wants to create among the young, aspirational and technology-savvy customers.

How were the sales of Victoris in the first year?

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris recorded a total sales of 1,47,602 units in its first year. According to the company, this is the highest sales figure in the first year after the launch of a new model in the passenger vehicle segment.

Monthly sales of SUVs were mostly between 10,000 to 13,000 units. In January 2026, its sales reached 15,240 units. With the launch of Auram Edition, the company is giving a new look to its SUV and is also celebrating its first anniversary.
