If your traffic challan is pending in Delhi, you have another chance to get it resolved. The date of National Lok Adalat in Delhi has been changed. The hearing was earlier scheduled to take place on 12 September, but was later fixed for 10 October 2026. Now it has also been extended till 25 October 2026. The information regarding the new date is given in the latest notification issued by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA).

The change has been made due to traffic and security related arrangements during the BRICS Summit held in New Delhi from September 11 to 13. In such a situation, the drivers who have outstanding challan should keep in mind the new date and time for downloading the slip.

When and where Lok Adalat will be held?

Rashtriya Lok Adalat will be held on 25 October 2026 in Delhi. The hearing will be held in various district court premises of Delhi. These include Tis Hazari, Karkarduma, Patiala House, Rohini, Saket, Dwarka and Rouse Avenue Court Complex. Apart from this, National Lok Adalat will also be organized on 19 October 2026 in Delhi High Court, Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), Permanent Lok Adalat, Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.

When and how to download challan slip?

If you want to settle your challan in Lok Adalat on 25th October, for this you need to download the slip first. As per the DSLSA notification, the challan slips can be downloaded from 10 AM on October 19, 2026.

However, there is also an important condition for slip downloaders. A maximum of 50,000 Challan slips can be downloaded per day. At the same time, the combined total limit of all days has been kept at 2 lakh challan. In such a situation, instead of waiting till the last minute to download the slip, it would be better to check the information on the portal as per the scheduled time. Which currencies can be settled?

Compoundable challans outstanding till June 30, 2026 will be taken up in this Lok Adalat. This means that not every type of currency will automatically be included in this process. Your challan must be eligible for settlement as per prescribed rules. So, before downloading the slip, please check your challan information and eligibility.
