Generally people avoid taking credit cards because they have to pay their fees every year. But this new Rupay card from Paytm has neither joining fee nor annual charge. That means this card is free for lifetime. Talking about the benefits, you will get up to 2% rewards on eligible spend like buying groceries or paying cab fare through Paytm UPI. At the same time, if you book tickets from Paytm Travel or buy digital gold from Paytm, you will get a direct reward of 5%. According to Yogesh Jain, Deputy CEO, AU Small Finance Bank, with special features like UPI payments, travel, rewards on gold purchases and family lounge, the card will give customers more benefits than normal credit cards.
Free entry for four family members to airport lounges
According to the company, it is the first credit card of its kind in the country that offers free entry to airport lounges for the entire family. Till now, on any credit card, only the person in whose name the card was available was allowed to enter the lounge. But with this new card, 4 members of the family will be able to enjoy the airport lounge together. This facility will be available on booking an eligible round trip flight ticket through the Paytm app. Cardholders will get the benefit of 12 free family lounge visits in a year. For this you don’t even need to show the card at the airport, the entry will be done just by scanning the QR code. A Paytm spokesperson says that when a family goes out together, the benefits of the card should also be available to the entire family together. Our partnership fulfills this vision by providing savings on daily UPI spend.
You can buy gold with accumulated reward points
Using the rewards points available on credit cards can often become a headache. But this card keeps it very simple. You can directly buy Paytm Gold from whatever reward points are credited to your account. Here the value of 1 reward point is kept equal to 1 rupee. If you don’t want to buy gold, you can take separate shopping vouchers from these points. Apart from this, these points can also be easily used for mobile recharge or payment of electricity and water bills.

You don’t need to go to any bank branch or visit an agent to get this lifetime free card. You can apply for it in few minutes from your mobile phone. For this first open Paytm app in your phone. Go to the app’s search box and type ‘credit card’. Now ‘Get Credit Card’ option will appear in front of you, tap on it. Select ‘Paytm AU SFB Credit Card’ from the list of different cards that appear there. After this, press the ‘Apply Now’ button and fill your required information. Finally you have to complete your KYC through mobile only. After submitting the form, you can check when your card will be ready on the Paytm app itself.
